Information and Communication Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that over 100 million people will benefit from the government services that will be digitized by 2020 to mark the birth anniversary of the nation’s father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Zunaid Ahmed Palak spoke at the main guest’s address at the four-day Workshop titled \”Digital Service Design Lab\” of the Ministry of Shipping at the Department of Housing and Public Works. Palak highlighted the importance of the shipping sector in the country’s transport sector, saying digital design labs will play a vital role in preventing time, money, waste and corruption in the transportation system. Palak said the government is working to create a digital economy and bring all activities to the same platform using data by increasing the use of technology. \”Porichoy Apps\” has been introduced to digitize all services that are required for citizens. He said that if we can properly implement our younger generation, the country will grow economically and through it, the digital ecosystem will be built. Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping Abdus Samad, among others, spoke at the function of the Ministry of Shipping, secretary of the Cabinet (Adjustment and Reform) Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping Sanjoy Kumar Banik. 45 officers from 10 organizations under the Ministry of Shipping participated in the workshop and 37 services were designed.
